My game of the week this week is Last Day of June by Ovosonico, this emotional filled game is an experience from start to finish with so many thought provoking moments.
Overview
Join Carl and June on what begins as a magical outing to their favourite spot, and try to unlock the sequence of events that could save the day – and June’s life – in this cinematic experience that will compel you to ask yourself: “What would I do to save the one I love?”
Gameplay
Last Day of June is an interactive story game as such you play as multiple different characters who are all going through the same events but from different aspects. You solve scenarios to try and get the best outcome and save the day.
Story
This is the type of game where If I talk to much about the story it'll spoil the whole experience so I'll simply say you must try to alter history and save a life.
Style
This game has such a stunning art style it really needs to be seen to be fully appreciate.
Tips and Tricks
My biggest tip to you would be that this is a PNR game, if you miss something you've got to start from the very beginning. Now I don't mean that to put you off in anyway just simply to remind you to interact with everything, if there is a opportunity to get a collectible then take it because you don't wanna complete with missing achievements.
Final Thoughts
This game is really thought provoking, as it's themes center around love and loss it makes you really think about every moment from every aspect. Could a kind gesture by yourself help to prevent a disaster for another? Are you making the most of your time with loved ones? What would you do if there really was nothing you could do?
