My game of the week is the frantic kitchen cooking challenge Overcooked! 2.

Overview

Overcooked returns with a brand-new helping of chaotic cooking action! Journey back to the Onion Kingdom and assemble your team of chefs in classic couch co-op or online play for up to four players. Hold onto your aprons… it’s time to save the world again!

Game play

Chop, cook and serve. Seems simple? Well, you can soon lose track of what you are doing as the environments move, you've got to remember more complicated recipes and when you shouldn't have to change your strategy.

The game tests your skills of planning sharing roles and thinking on your feet. For the most enjoyment, play in as either two chefs or in the verses style as 2 vs 2. It still feels designed for sofa play but it works perfectly as an online multiplayer as long as you have voice chat.

Top Tip #1

Along it's not so much a tip but required in later levels I'd say the best tip I can give you is to Throw food! It's faster to pass and helps you to be able to strategist stuff.

Style

A fun playful art style that lends itself to the ridiculous madness that unfolds.

Final Thought

Fun, absurd and challenging, works best as a sofa game but great online too. You'll find out who's the boss when it comes to playing with your friends and family!
